Full compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) – ISO norms – BCGA norms
All our cylinders comply with GMP requirements regarding manufacture of medical gases, storage, logistics and technical features of containers. All our cylinders, regardless type of gas, size and type of valve are equipped with “Residual Pressure Device”: it’s a valve built-in component that by keeping few bars of residual pressure prevents moisture, dust or dirt to enter into cylinder when this is empty. This component must be present on each medical gases cylinder according to Annex 6 of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

All our cylinders are colour coded in compliance with ISO 32:1977 and also with recent EN BS 1089:2011 (white cylinder body and shoulder coloured according to contained gas).

Full traceability software
BTG Gases provides a full traceability software for cylinders. All our cylinders are labelled with two bar codes, one identifies said bottle and one identifies the pharmaceutical batch of contained gas. Thanks to these bar codes and to a specifically designed software, named Ramses, BTG Gases can easily manage all logistic aspects for each customer and immediately retrieve all information of each single cylinder:

It’s also possible to get information regarding the cylinder stock currently available at each customer site.

But Ramses alone is not enough for us: can you picture how difficult is to find one cylinder within a 500 beds hospital? BTG Gases has also developed a further software for customer internal traceability of cylinders, named Cleopatra. This software synchronises with Ramses and keeps trace of each cylinder movement inside the hospital allowing users to know in which ward said cylinder is located. Cleopatra is also useful to assess cylinder stock of each ward and cylinder rotation index. Cleopatra software is easy to install, user-friendly and can be easily handle by hospital internal staff or by BTG Gases Total Gas Management (TGM) co-maker.
