Fume recirculation systems - SolMet
SOL offers systems and processes for fume recirculation for use in melting furnaces for the production of aluminium even from low quality scrap: a specific SolMet oxy combustion burner, to be used in conjunction with the fume recirculation system, ensures maximum process flexibility over long operating cycles.
A high-temperature fan operated directly from the electrical panel of the SolMet system, controls the amount of re-circulated fumes on the basis of process requirements and the parameters detected by a special PLC controller programmed on the basis of the know-how built up by SOL in this sector, and of the user’s specific needs, to recover the heat content of the unburned fuel to benefit the melting process and produce fuel savings.
